Hey, out of curiosity, since you're from the U.K., are you a fan of "The Prisioner," with Patrick McGoohan? I love that fucking show!!! He died a couple of days before my birthday last year.

I'm not.

My boyfriend (who is five years my senior, and wouldn't be old enough, either) works at an independent local video store and gets free rentals. He remembered his dad watching it and was a fan, and he brought some DVDs home, and I was an instant fan.

McGoohan will never admit to this (and he'll always kind of wink when asked) but it's theorized that his character Number 6 on "The Prisoner" is actually his character from a previous series that he was in, "Danger Man AKA Secret Agent Man." McGoohan even guest starred on a "Prisoner" parody episode of "The Simpsons."

Thanks to the free rentals and the wide selection of the video store and my boyfriend being a movie/TV nerd (dude, they have most of the Criteron catalog!), I can now watch shows from overseas! Awesome!

Speaking of "The Prisoner," I heard that AMC is about to release the remake of the series. Ian McKellen is Number Two, which I can get behind, but they have the dude who played Jesus in Mel Gibson's "Passion of the Christ" in McGoohan's Number Six role. I really didn't think the show needed to be remade!!!
